:: Purification Gem No. 20: The Transmutation of the Heart (Qalb) ::

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

Ya Ali Madad and Ramadan Mubarak! This post for the auspicious twentieth night of Holy Ramadan has five parts:

  1. Gems of knowledge from Pir Pandiyat-i Jawanmardi, or "Advices of Manliness" of Imam NOOR Mowlana Shah Mustansir bi'l-laah II (a.s.);
  2. One beautiful verse of supplication from Pir Hasan Kabirdin's (r.a.) Moti Venti;
  3. Noore Karim, Yâ Khaaliq; Noore Karim, Yâ Baari; Noore Karim, Yâ Musawwir dhikr;
  4. Angelic salwat which is the anchor tasbi for the project; and
  5. Global Prayers and Three Grand Aspirations.

 

Part 1: Teaching of Imam NOOR Mowlana Shah Mustansir bi'l-laah II (a.s.)
In Pir Pandiyat-i Jawanmardi, Imam NOOR Mowlana Shah Mustansir bi'l-laah II (a.s.) teaches us to be ready to comprehend the meaning of the Holy Imam's word and knowledge ('ilm)::

"The good ones used to give up their relatives and their people for the sake of the didar. Others, similarly, gave up their properties, estates, families, position and respect. Others again for the sake of the didar and out of love for the Imam of the time used to walk (long distances), making their feet sore. Others for the sake of the hereafter served their spiritual brothers at their assemblies. Good ones sat in the assemblies of the believers for the sake of making their faith perfect, occupying themselves with worship and acts of piety, or asking of their teachers questions concerning the true knowledge ('ilm-i haqiqi), and memorizing it. They used to learn it, sitting and listening to their teachers, and memorizing what they said, acting piously according to their instruction, being full of love for the religion of the truth (din-i haqq).

O, believers, be all in love with the pure religion of the Imam! Be ready to comprehend the meaning of (his) word and knowledge ('ilm), never neglecting your own progress and behaviour, because neglect of the truth is a calamity." (p.34)

 

Part 2: Teaching of Pir Hasan Kabirdin
In the following verse from Moti Venti, Pir Hasan Kabirdin teaches us that the Great Name (Ism-i Azam) of the Lord is the key to overcome the tribulations on the road to the Eternal. The Pir also says that the Lord has innumerable names and each name has its own luminosity, power, blessing and mystery.

Eji sâmi ati dukh chhê saragni vatmâ(n)
tê tamârâ nâmthi dukh duraj thâya
satgur sâheb to ek chhê
tê nâm bhêdthi orakhâya
mahêr karo morâ sâ(n)hiyâ
abarâ sharan tamâri		  
0 Lord, Innumerable are the tribulations on the road to the Eternal,
which will vanish with Your (sacred) name (ism-e azam).
You are the only True Guide,
known by different names and mysteries.
Have mercy on me, my Lord.
I am helpless and dependent on you.		 37

Part 3: Dhikr Section:
The path of spiritual progress and development involves: (1) the creation of human beings; (2) the evolution of human beings through faith, knowledge, ibadat, and good deeds; and (3) re-creation of human beings into perfect beings. These three functions of Allah are represented by the following Divine Names: Al-Khaaliq (The Creator), Al-Baari (The Evolver) and Al-Musawwir (The Flawless Shaper). In order to be re-created, transmutation occurs in the heart (qalb) which leads to the opening and full development of the faculty of the heart. This gift is not given to every human being because it requires complete submission to He who is above all else.

Part 4: Angelic Salwat
Let us now start presenting a nazrana of angelic salwats to our beloved NOOR Mowlana Shah Karim Al-Hussaini Hazar Imam for blessings, guidance and empowerment for the fulfillment of our noble wishes. May our beloved Noor Mowlana Hazar Imam continually keep us on the Right Path. Ameen.

Part 5. Global Prayers and Three Grand Aspirations
Through the barakat of thirty purification gems, tasbis and angelic salwat by many individuals of the global Jamat, O Noor Mowlana Hazar Imam, bless the global Jamat with:

  1. Spiritual and luminous tayid (help) to advance materially, spiritually and intellectually;
  2. Sunshine in our spiritual hearts and actualization of the inner vision of the Truth;
  3. Empowerment to present a Material Nazrana of time, knowledge and financial resources;
  4. Empowerment to present a Spiritual Nazrana in the form of a pure heart which is in a state of constant dhikr; and
  5. Empowerment to present a Luminous Nazrana in the form of a sound heart (qalb-i salim) which is in a state of constant dhikr and enlightenment.
