Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
Ya Ali Madad and Ramadan Mubarak! This post for the auspicious fourteenth night of Holy Ramadan has five parts:
Part 1: Teaching of Imam NOOR Mowlana Shah Mustansir bi'l-laah II (a.s.)
In Pir Pandiyat-i Jawanmardi, Imam NOOR Mowlana Shah Mustansir bi'l-laah II (a.s.) teaches us to seek forgiveness for our sins:
"The (real) believer is one who sees his own sins, fears them, and repents for them. (p.5)
The (real) believer is one who is afraid of the day of Resurrection when God (Haqq) will demand of him the account of his sins, and who before that day of settlement keeps an account of his sins every day himself. (p.4) The (real) believer is one who realizes his own position and state, who does not forget these, who does not forget about the agonies of death and the bitterness of the moment when the soul shall part with the body, who is afraid of the tortures of the future, and of the answers to be given to the questions of Munkar and Nakir. (p.5) The (real) believer is one who always feels that the All-Forgiving Lord is present before him and sees him, that He is just there, nearer to him than his own self." (p.5) |
Part 2: Teaching of Pir Hasan Kabirdin
In the following verse from Moti Venti, Pir Hasan Kabirdin pleads for mercy and forgiveness for our souls:
Eji | chhêdo nâ(n)khinê sâmi dhâ(n)kajo avgun am tanâ âya amê to abarâ âdhin chhu(n) lajâ tamâri ho râya mahêr karo morâ sâ(n)hiyâ abarâ sharan tamâri |
|
0 Lord, | Put a veil over my wrongs, And conceal my numerous faults and failures. I am sinful and weak. My honour, 0 Lord is due to you. Have mercy on me, my Lord. I am helpless and dependent on you. |
