"Blessed be He Who hath placed in the heaven mansions of the stars, and hath placed therein a great lamp and a moon giving light!" — Holy Qur'an 25:61
Holy Quran Verses from Pickthall's Translation
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
090.001 | Nay, I swear by this city - |
090.002 | And thou art an indweller of this city - |
090.003 | And the begetter and that which he begat, |
090.004 | We verily have created man in an atmosphere: |
090.005 | Thinketh he that none hath power over him? |
090.006 | And he saith: I have destroyed vast wealth: |
090.007 | Thinketh he that none beholdeth him? |
090.008 | Did We not assign unto him two eyes |
090.009 | And a tongue and two lips, |
090.010 | And guide him to the parting of the mountain ways? |
090.011 | But he hath not attempted the Ascent - |
090.012 | Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Ascent is! - |
090.013 | (It is) to free a slave, |
090.014 | And to feed in the day of hunger. |
090.015 | An orphan near of kin, |
090.016 | Or some poor wretch in misery, |
090.017 | And to be of those who believe and exhort one another to perseverance and exhort one another to pity. |
090.018 | Their place will be on the right hand. |
090.019 | But those who disbelieve Our revelations, their place will be on the left hand. |
090.020 | Fire will be an awning over them. |
Let us pray (Sura 20, Ayat 114) 'Ya Rabbi Zidni Ilma!' ('O Lord! Increase me in knowledge.') and seek spiritual help (ta'yid) to understand our great faith.
