Part 1: Recitation of Anant Akhado
On the 17th day of the project, we will be reciting verses 201 to 212 of Anant Akhado. The hyperlink given below will lead you to all the verses and their literal meaning for today's recitation.
In verse 211, the experiences of Pir Sadardin and his son (Pir) Hasan Kabirdin are described. Pir Sadardin was meditating and supplicating to overcome the 'iron' wall, while his young son was being inspired to inscribe the praises of the Lord, inch by inch, on the turban. This whole process took six months and six days.
This is an example of the arduous journey that our Holy Pirs took to create ginanic works in the Sat-Panth period of our history. Through these spiritually inspired works, our ancestors became Ismailis. This wonderful tradition of the Holy ginans also contains the tawil of the Holy Quran in our own language and is still relevant to the Jamats which have originated from the Indo-Pak subcontinent.
