Part 1: Recitation of Anant Akhado
On the 14th day of the project, we will be reciting verses 163 to 175 of Anant Akhado. The hyperlink given below will lead you to all the verses and their literal meaning for today's recitation.
In verse 165, Pir Hasan Kabirdin is exhorting us to prepare for the hereafter during this life time by asking for forgiveness of our sins and by performing good deeds. He also reminds us that we will be held accountable for our actions.
This world is a good place but hereafter is better and more lasting. This is the message of Allah in the following aya (verses) from Surah Al-Aalaa (The Most High). Therefore, the guiding principle is to invest in the next world by praying and developing the spiritual dimension of our lives here and now.
| Qad 'aflaha man-tazakkaa. | He is successful who grows, (87:14) |
| Wa zakarasma Rabbihii fasallaa. | And remembers the name of his Lord, so pray, (87:15) |
| Bal tu'-siruunal-hayaatad-dunyaa; | But you prefer the life of the world (87:16) |
| Wal-'Aakhiratu khayrunw-wa 'abqaa. | Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. (87:17) |
| Āshāji | jivanā thodā pāp na(n) kārie karo dān kamāiji lok kutu(m)b koi sāth na āvē jē dēsho tē lēsho |

| Oh Lord | The physical life is very short so do not commit sins. Perform charitable and rewarding acts. Your family and relatives will not accompany you. Whatever you give now so shall you receive in the hereafter. |
